Blazing
Technologies Inc. Capabilities
 |
Specialties:
|
BTI specializes in the design and manufacture of custom battery powered,
hydraulically operated, aerial lifts, material handlers, and utility vehicles
and attachments. Blazing Tech will design products for specific
applications and to meet specific customer requirements.
Blazing Technologies has the equipment, expertise, and experience needed to design, prototype, and
manufacture its products. BTI has a workforce that believes in producing
quality products; they have standards that exceed ISO 9001 requirements.
BTI knows that the customer has the final say as to whether a product is
acceptable or meets their expectations. Of course, customers of BTI are
rarely dissatisfied with the end product, because it is BTI's philosophy to
include the customer in the entire process of developing the product and thereby
reducing the likelihood of surprises once the final product is put into iron.
BTI believes in the the Integrated Product Development process (IPD) and has
used it successfully since the inception of Blazing Technologies Inc. BTI
either has, or utilizes local suppliers of laser cutting equipment, water
jetting equipment, CNC machining centers, plastics manufacturers, welding and
fabrication equipment, powder coating equipment, hydraulic and electrical
suppliers. BTI designs and makes all of its own hydraulic hoses and
specifically uses Parker Hydraulic hose and fittings.
Engineering
systems consist of workstations running the latest solid modeling software
networked together with a server running the latest server software and employing the latest in
parametric technologies. All
designs are created in 3D space using solid modeling in order to better visualize design and check
for tolerances - we call this virtual prototyping. All designs are
detailed down to the part level including purchased components with material
specifications and a smart part numbering system. All BTI development
projects are performed using the BTI IPD process that is a totally integrated
product development process that includes the customer throughout the entire
design process. BTI engineering has the programming capability to create
entire vehicle control systems and create a user interface for full diagnostic
capabilities..

Materials
Planning:
|
Materials Requirements Planning is done through a computerized MRP system.
All project parts exist in an item master database and unit bills of materials
are active live and instantly. This
allows Blazing Technologies, Inc. to mass produce existing units and future
products and to plan for parts delivery on the dates that they are required (JIT)
for assembly. Parts remain in inventory only a few days and allows for
the greatest inventory turns.
Because of Blazing
Technologies Inc.'s vast experience with construction equipment, specifically in
the areas of hydraulic mobile cranes and aerial work platforms, BTI has been
asked to consult on many various issues including hydraulic system analysis,
full system analysis, structural and performance problems.
BTI enters into consulting agreements for OEMs of equipment and end users as an
independent body capable of providing an unbiased analysis of systems or
equipment.

Professional
Associations:
|
Blazing Technologies Inc. has for years, and
continues to be, a member of the ANSI committees that are the regulating bodies
for Aerial Work Platforms, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, and Airport Service self
propelled Scissor and Boom Lifts. The ANSI organizations that are
associated with the aforementioned committees are A92.5, A92.6, and A92.7
respectively. Currently, BTI's Bob Backer is the chairman of A92.7.
